 Mara
Schainuck was born and raised in South Florida. By
day, she is a stockbroker with a major international
firm, managing and protecting hundreds of
millions of dollars for her clients.
By night, and in her free time, she designs what she
loves, her "Works of Art"
handbags.
During high school and college, Mara modeled
professionally, exposing herself to the exciting
world of fashion.
After graduating from college with an Economics
Degree, she embarked on her career in the financial
arena. Despite dealing with numbers all day long,
Mara always kept up with the pulse of fashion
trends. Never missing a beat.
The "Works of Art"
handbags designs came about when Mara needed
a special purse for the lavish black-tie evenings of
a cruise vacation. After not finding anything unique
enough on the market, she decided to design two for
herself. While on board the ship, she ended up
selling her bags to other passengers, right off her
wrist...thus, "Works of
Art" handbags was launched.
- Mara currently resides in Coral Springs
Florida with her husband, Gerard, and two dogs,
"Jackie-O," a Standard Poodle and Suzi, a Bichon
Frise.
